Summary: This book is to help facilitate the search on the Union side of the roster. Each of the 345 Union units at Gettysburg has an entry, arranged by state. The brigade, division and corps association of each unit is noted as well as any common nickname. An attempt is made to provide the places of recruitment and the place of organization as a regiment of battery. Biographical information is provided ONLY for the 469 unit commanders at Gettysburg, July 1-3. Numbers and losses for each regiment are given, and, if a monument exists, the text identifies what description of the fighting it provided. An index lists the counties where the units were raised and the names of the commanders.
Condition: hardcover, covers show slight wear and light soiling, text is sound with few soiled specks, overall all good plus copy. Maps have come unglued from back cover but are there.
