Summary: The Linnaean Society of New York was established in 1878 in the City of New York, by a group of amateurs interested in natural science, especially ornithology. Contents in this volume include:
• The Red-Winged Blackbird: A Study in the Ecology of a Cat-tail Marsh by Arthur A. Allen
• An Interesting Ornithological Winter Around New York City by Ludlow Griscom
Condition: Softcover with a homemade cardboard library cover, Ex-Lib with usual stamps and marks. Back cardboard cover is pulling free of library tape so coming loose. Binding seam in softcover is crackied in several places so loose but still intact. Overall good.
