Summary: This was prepared as instructional material in the field of tool design. It is intended for persons who have had previous training or experience in drafting or design who want to prepare for positions requiring greater skill. Book I & II include: Introductory Section, Units Of Instruction which consists of three parts: Basic Principle Series, Demonstration Series and an Assignment Series. Plus a brief description of each part. Book II is the Supplementary Section with the Appendix and is in the same volume as Book I. It includes technical information: Suggestions for the Tool Designer; Steels Common to Tool Construction; Heat Treatment of Steels Used in Tool Construction; Drill Jig Bushings; Component Parts of Jigs and Fixtures, and Tolerances and Allowances. Book III is a separate volume and includes five folders which contain all the Part Drawings, Production Plans and Tool Drawings discussed in the other volume.
Condition: Hardcover. Name inside of front cover in both volumes. Book I has some notes written in pencil inside back cover. Covers have some soiling and show slight wear. Text is sound with hint of soiling, spine seam is cracked in a couple places in Vol. 1 so little lose but still intact. Drawings and Plans in Book III are all present and in good plus condition. Overall good set.
