Dunlap #1 Consul of the United States at Bergen, Norway May 10th 1940 on board the S.S. Charles R. McCormick of San Francisco – Calif Sunny”. Maurice P. Dunlap (1882-1964) lived in St. Paul, Minn., Boston, Mass. Was born in Toledo, Ohio. US Consul in Stavanger, 1915-17; Copenhagen 1917-21, Odense 1918, Malmo 1920, Bangkok 1922-23, Port-au-Prince 1924-27, Stockholm 1927-32, Dundee 1932-35, Bergen 1936-41. Interment at Dell Rapids, So. Dak. Could not locate any information on Schutz since I’m not sure of his first name or initials. The S.S. Charles R. McCornick was a real ship and it seems it was caught in port in Norway in 1940, and the Nazis supposedly confiscated her cargo.
Summary: Chinese Ghouls and Goblins is a book on the supernatural in Chinese folklore written by British author Gerald Willoughby-Meade and published in London in 1928. This book is an attempt to interest the general reader in some of the folk-tales in which China is so rich and to outline the beliefs which appear to underlie them. See scan of Contents for more information.
