Summary: Calvin Ellis Stowe was an American Biblical scholar who helped spread public education in the United States. Over his career, he was a professor of languages and Biblical and sacred literature at Andover Theological Seminary.

Condition: Hardcover, cover cloth is worn, frayed, corner bumped and bared, spine edge seams are worn have tears and chips. Back cover lining pair has been re-enforced with tape. Text is loose so pulling some and a few pages are starting to come loose from the threads but are still partly attached. Text has age toning and foxing thru out the book. Some light smudging, name in pencil on one of the front flies. Overall a fair readable copy.
